Photo Shoot Lesson

Today we were meant to shoot the cover photos for our magazine. Unfortunately for my group, it was raining outside, and two of our group members were away due to a Religious Holiday. Instead, we decided to plan out the rest of our front cover and inside page, and take the pictures at Thursday lunchtime.
We started thinking of things that would grab the attention of the reader, making them want to look at the magazine in the first place. We decided to give away free gifts with the magazine, such as a CD featuring songs of up-and-coming pop artists. We would also have competitions, such as the chance to win a free iPod, and concert tickets. We have thought about showing the front-cover star listening to the iPod, as a way to promote the competition.
We then discussed what we could have as our inside story in the magazines. The most sensible option seemed to be the interviews with the cover stars - congratulating them on their first single, and finding out about them (seeings as they are a new artist we are trying to promote).
Next lesson, we should have done our photo shoot, and got all of the pictures we need. Then it is just a case of manipulating them. I'm excited.
